Let’s Get Hopping 49: Sketch Challenge

Welcome to my blog!

I’m back with the Let’s Get Hopping crew & today we’re sharing projects inspired by this sketch…

LGH49: Sketch Challenge

You would’ve come from the amazing Teresa Brown or starting with me, either way, be sure to hop right around to check out how we each interpreted the sketch 😊

Here’s my take on the sketch…

This layout made for a super quick Christmas card with lots of layers & texture. The iridescent sheen from the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper adds a rainbow sparkle to the card. A strip of the wide Smoky Slate Textured Ribbon breaks up the paper on paper and adds some softness to the layout.

A rectangle piece of Coastal Cabana embossed with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder adds some raised texture & the sentiments cut from simple circle & banner dies finishes the focal area.

I lightly sponged the sentiment pieces with some Smoky Slate ink to lift it from each other as well as the Basic White Thick card base. The silver Simply Elegant Trim adds more texture and sparkle.

I splattered the card base with some Wink of Stella which sparkles in real life & then I finished the card by adding some silver Metallic Pearls.

I hope you enjoyed my card today & I’d like to encourage you to have a play with this sketch. Please share your creations with me & tag me on my Instagram account so I can share your work with my followers too! Thanks for joining me today & be sure to check out the talented Shelly Wadge’s gorgeous project 😊
